Highland fabulous fungi walk

About this walk

Discover the weird, wonderful and whacky fungi found in the breathtaking landscapes of the Scottish Highlands in our one-off Highlands fabulous fungi walks. You'll discover a variety of unusual shapes, spectacular colours and amazing smells. They are beautiful, bizarre and truly fascinating.

Led by an expert guide, this walk offers a fun and educational dive into the mysterious world of fungi. You'll learn about identification, hear quirky facts and folklore, and discover the vital role fungi play in our ecosystems. 

 

Join us in exploration and wonder and learn how the fungi shape the forests and fields in the outstandingly beautiful part of the world.

 

This walk is ideal for curious beginners or seasoned nature lovers looking for an unusual outdoor experience with a touch of fungal magic.

Although edibility and toxicity will be mentioned on this walk, it will not be the main focus and no harvesting will take place.

10am - 1pm

£50 per person

Locations

Aviemore surrounds, Invernesshire. Exact locations sent to participants two days before event

Terrain

Woodland, logging tracks and loch side. Terrain is uneven.

Age limit

Participants must be aged 18 years or older - no children under 18 or babes in arms allowed on this course

Dogs

Dogs are not allowed to be brought along on this course
