
Cancellations
What are your options if you are no longer able to attend a course you have booked on to?
Under the CCR (2010), dated, ticketed, limited capacity events are exempt from cooling off periods and organisers are not obliged to offer any swapping facility or cancellation compensation or refund should the purchaser choose or is no longer able to attend for any reason. This applies from the moment the purchase is made and applies regardless of the reason for cancellation. This is detailed and agreed to twice during the checkout process and also detailed on your booking confirmation email. Tickets would not have been able to be purchased without the booker twice agreeing to that they understand this.
We strongly advise during and after the purchase process that ticket bookers take out cancellation insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances. This can be done at checkout with XCover or buyers can seek out their own insurance after purchase. XCover insurance can only be purchased during checkout. If you have opted not to take out insurance, you will not be covered if you do not attend or no longer want your ticket for any reason.
As a courtesy, we offer the following options. However, without insurance no full refunds or partial refunds up to the day of the event will be granted regardless of the reason for not being able to attend the event booked on to.
Send somebody else in your place
You can pass your ticket/s on to another person. Please remember, however, that the pre-course information email will be sent to the email address that you booked with and, unless you advise us of the change, we will not have any contact telephone number for the new participant in case we need to make last minute changes on the day (eg change of meeting point, or information about road closures) or any dietary information.
You will have also agreed to the terms and conditions on behalf of the participant. Any insurance bought at checkout will be held by the original booker.
Swapping or transferring to other courses
No swapping or transfer facility is available. This is detailed and agreed to twice upon booking and also detailed within booking confirmation emails. To change to a new course/event/walk, date, time or venue, the original booking must be cancelled and a new booking made - any partial refunds for cancellation will be given as detailed on this page or as detailed within insurance taken. Event places are limited in number by insurance and venue requirements so moving bookings to another date or time means those places are also lost as they cannot be booked by another customer. Because of this, swapping events/times is the same as a cancellation.

Cancellation reimbursements
We offer the following as a courtesy and at our discretion. The amount deducted partially covers the non-recoverable losses incurred by ourselves for contract breach (cancellation) on the side of the booker. This is not a legal requirement and we reserve the right to withdraw this gesture of goodwill at any point:

Cancellation more than 60 days before event/course - refund less 25% of total fee paid or voucher with 25% of value used at booking deducted and retaining original expiry date (dictated by original payment/booking method)

Cancellation 30-59 days before event/course - refund less 50% of total fee paid or voucher with 50% of value used at booking deducted and retaining original expiry date (dictated by original payment/booking method)

Cancellation 15-29 days before event/course - refund less 75% of total fee paid or voucher with 75% of value used at booking deducted and retaining original expiry date (dictated by original payment/booking method)

Cancellation 14 days or fewer before event/course - no refund or voucher
Regardless of reason, full refunds are only available to those who took out insurance as recommended for reasons covered by that insurance.
