Cancellations
What are your options if you are no longer able to attend a course you have booked on to?
Under the CCR, dated, ticketed, limited capacity events are exempt from cooling off periods and organisers are not obliged to offer any swapping facility or cancellation compensation or refund should the purchaser choose or is no longer unable to attend for any reason. This applies from the moment the purchase is made. We strongly advise during and after the purchase process that ticket bookers take out their own cancellation insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances. However, for bookings made after 11 August 2023, we offer the following options as courtesy. This is detailed and agreed to twice during the checkout process and also detailed on your booking confirmation email.
Send somebody else in your place
You can pass your ticket/s on to another person. Please remember, however, that the pre-course information email will be sent to the email address that you booked with and, unless you advise us of the change, we will not have any contact telephone number for the new participant in case we need to make last minute changes on the day (eg change of meeting point, or information about road closures) or any dietary information.
You will have also agreed to the terms and conditions on behalf of the participant.
Swapping or transferring to other courses
No swapping or transfer facility is available. This is detailed and agreed to twice upon booking and also detailed within booking confirmation emails. To change to a new course, date or venue, the original booking must be cancelled and a new booking made. Our ticketing is managed by a third party and the fees associated mean swapping is less cost effective to the customer than cancellation and rebooking.
Cancellation reimbursements
The following is taken from the terms and conditions highlighted and agreed to for all bookings made on or after 5pm 11 August 2023. Bookings made before 5pm 11 August 2023 are committed to and ineligible for any reimbursement upon cancellation, and they cannot be swapped to an alternative date, venue or course.
Any reimbursement for cancellation of a cash/direct payment booking, or a booking made with a new style voucher (one with an original expiry date of 30 September 2023 or later) will be given as follows. The method of refund is dictated by the method used to book (cash or voucher). If a booking is made with a combination of voucher and cash, the two payment method parts will be treated as separate entities:

Cancellation more than 60 days before event/course - refund less 25% of total fee paid or voucher with 25% of value used at booking deducted and retaining original expiry date (dictated by original payment/booking method)

Cancellation 30-59 days before event/course - refund less 50% of total fee paid or voucher with 50% of value used at booking deducted and retaining original expiry date (dictated by original payment/booking method)

Cancellation 15-29 days before event/course - refund less 75% of total fee paid or voucher with 75% of value used at booking deducted and retaining original expiry date (dictated by original payment/booking method)

Cancellation 14 days or fewer before event/course - no refund or voucher
These reimbursements apply only to bookings made at or after 5pm on 11 August 2023 and only for vouchers originally purchased on or after 1 September 2022
At the discretion of the company, if a ticket/place is able to be resold within the 14 days preceding the course, the same reimbursement as a cancellation made 15-29 days before event/course may be offered. This is not guaranteed and and will only be offered if all places on the course have already been filled (this only applies to bookings made at or after 5pm on 11 August 2023 and only for vouchers originally purchased on or after 1 September 2022). Attempting to resell a ticket does not guarantee that it will be sold.
Deductions cover some of the cost incurred by the company, instructors and venues for the initial booking, cancellation, administration, remarketing and resale of cancelled places. Any monetary reimbursement due will be sent directly to the original payment method and can take 5-10 days to appear on your statement. Any voucher reimbursement due will be sent via email as a new voucher code. Please ensure you use the email address you booked with as only applications with those will be processed.
